Lash Extension Training — At Our Studio or Yours

Most lash courses in New York run the same way: fifteen students, two days, one mannequin head each, a certificate at the end, and a group chat that goes quiet by week three. You leave certified and still not able to isolate a lash on a live model.

We teach one student at a time. And we come to you if that’s easier.

Two formats

At our studio (1019 Avenue P, Suite 703, Brooklyn). Full setup, professional lighting, adjustable bed, our full product range to try before you commit money to a kit.

At your location. Your salon, your suite, your home studio. This is the format most people underestimate. Learning on the chair, table height, and lighting you’ll actually work in every day is worth more than learning in a perfect room you’ll never see again. If your lighting is bad, we’ll tell you and show you what to fix.

What’s covered

Foundation (1 day)

  • Eye and lash anatomy, growth cycles, and why retention is mostly biology
  • Sanitation, patch testing, and contraindications you must turn away
  • Isolation — the single skill that separates a working lash artist from a certificate holder
  • Classic 1:1 application
  • Lash mapping: doll, cat, open, kitten, and how to read a face
  • Adhesive chemistry, humidity, and why your glue behaves differently in August

Volume (1 day)

  • Handmade fan technique, wide and narrow base
  • Weight math — how to build a fan that a fine natural lash can actually carry
  • 2D–3D mapping
  • Mega volume and when to say no to it

UV-bonded technique (half day, add-on)

  • Flash-cured application and how it changes your speed and your aftercare instructions
  • Equipment, safe operating distance, and what to tell clients about it

Business (half day)

  • Pricing so you aren’t the cheapest artist on the block by accident
  • Booking software setup
  • Photographing your work so it books clients
  • Aftercare scripts, retention troubleshooting, and handling the “my lashes fell out” message

What you leave with

  • Live model practice, not just mannequin hours
  • A starter kit (tweezers, adhesive, tile, trays, cleanser, aftercare set)
  • A certificate of completion
  • Your photos from the training day, shot properly
  • Direct message access for follow-up questions — we answer them

Who this is for

  • Licensed estheticians or cosmetologists adding lashes to their menu
  • Nail techs and brow artists expanding their service list
  • Existing lash artists who want volume or UV technique specifically
  • Career changers — but check New York State licensing requirements before you book, and we’ll walk you through what applies to you

Honest expectations

You will not be fast after training. Nobody is. Your first ten sets will take three hours and you will question your life choices somewhere around set four. That’s normal and it’s not a sign you chose wrong. Speed comes from repetition, and the point of training is to make sure that repetition is building a correct habit instead of grinding a bad one into place.

What training buys you is not speed. It’s not having to unlearn anything.
