2D – 3D mix
What a 2D–3D set costs, and what it fixes.
2D–3D lash extensions — the mix — are $150 for a full set at DEEPINLASH, 1019 Avenue P, Suite 703 in Brooklyn 11223. The appointment runs about 90 minutes, the refill is $130 every two to three weeks, and free lash mapping is included every visit. A 2D–3D set mixes single classic extensions with small handmade fans of two or three along the same lash line — the singles hold the shape, the fans fill the gaps between them.
What it is
Texture, not a solid band.
Along one lash line we place single extensions and small fans of two or three, alternating by what each natural lash can hold and where the line needs filling. The result reads as texture — a lash line with depth and variation in it — rather than the even, solid edge a full volume set gives.
This is the set that solves the most common complaint we hear about previous work: either it was too sparse to make a difference, or it was so dense it looked like a strip lash. The mix sits between those two and is adjustable in either direction at the chair.
If someone has told you that the 2D–3D mix is "just classic with extra steps", they were selling you classic. The two sets do different jobs: classic lengthens what is there, the mix changes how full the line reads.
How we decide the mix
The ratio is set to your lash line, not to a menu.
"2D–3D" is a range because the proportion of fans to singles changes across one eye. Mapping is where that gets decided, it takes about ten minutes, and it is free with every set.
- We find where your line is dense and where it is thin — usually not symmetrical.
- Fans go where there is space to fill; singles go where the line is already full.
- Curl comes from your lid position, and length zones are drawn on the patch so you see the shape first.
- You approve the map. Changing it at that point costs nothing.
Want it wispier? More even? Say so at the map stage and the ratio changes. After we start, it is an hour of work to reverse.

2D–3D against the others
Where 2D–3D sits.
Classic adds length. The mix adds coverage. Volume adds density. Mega volume adds darkness. All four are weight decisions before they are style decisions.
| Set | Full set | Refill | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Classic 1D | $120 | $100 | Length and definition on existing density. Cannot fill gaps. |
| Mix 2D–3D | $150 | $130 | Singles plus small fans. Fills sparse patches and evens an uneven line. |
| Volume 4D–5D | $170 | $140 | A full, dark lash line that still photographs soft. |
| Mega volume 6D+ | $180 | $150 | Maximum density at the finest diameters. Events and camera. |

Questions
What people ask about the 2D–3D mix.
How much is a 2D–3D mix lash set in Brooklyn?
A 2D–3D mix full set is $150 at DEEPINLASH, and the refill is $130. First-time clients get $20 off, so a first 2D–3D set is $130. The LED-cured bond is an optional $20, and safe removal is $25 or free when you book a new set the same visit.
What is the difference between a 2D–3D mix and classic lash extensions?
Classic places one extension on one natural lash, so it adds length and definition but cannot cover a gap. The 2D–3D mix adds small fans of two or three, which spread across the spaces between lashes. If your lash line is already full, classic is enough. If it is patchy or uneven, the 2D–3D mix is the set that changes how full it reads.
Is a 2D–3D mix set the same as a wispy lash set?
A wispy or spiked set is a mapping style built on a 2D–3D base — alternating fan sizes and heights is what creates the texture. So wispy is how we map it, the 2D–3D mix is what it is made of. Ask for wispy at the mapping stage and the ratio and lengths change accordingly.
Is a 2D–3D mix heavier on natural lashes than classic?
Not necessarily. A 2D or 3D fan made at a fine diameter is comparable in weight to a single thicker classic extension, because weight comes from diameter rather than from the number of lashes in a fan. We choose the diameter from the lash we are working on, which is why mapping happens before anything is applied.
How often does a 2D–3D set need a refill?
Every two to three weeks, at $130. Past three weeks there is not enough of the original set left to build on, so the appointment is booked and priced as a new full set at $150.
Should I book a 2D–3D mix or volume lash extensions?
The 2D–3D mix if you want coverage with visible texture, or if your lash line is uneven. Volume if you want an even, full, dark line all the way across. Volume costs $20 more and reads denser. If you are unsure, book the 2D–3D mix — moving up to volume at your next visit is easy, and we re-map you every appointment anyway.
