What mega volume costs, and what it asks of your lashes.

Mega volume lashes are $180 for a full set at DEEPINLASH, 1019 Avenue P, Suite 703 in Brooklyn 11223. The appointment runs about 90 minutes, the refill is $150 every two to three weeks, and free lash mapping is included every visit. Mega volume means handmade fans of six or more extensions at 0.03mm to 0.05mm — maximum darkness at the lash line, built at diameters fine enough that the total load stays below a classic set on the same lash.

What it is

Maximum density, minimum diameter.

Mega volume is not "volume, but more". It is a different diameter class. Where a 4D fan uses 0.07mm extensions, a mega fan uses 0.03mm to 0.05mm — fine enough that six or eight of them together still weigh less than one classic lash at 0.15mm. That is what makes the density possible at all.

It also means the fans are harder to make and less forgiving. A mega fan that closes while it is being placed stops being a fan and becomes a clump, and a clump at this diameter is both visible and heavy in the wrong place. Most of the ninety minutes is fan-making and isolation.

Best for Camera and events A dark, dense lash line reads strongest through a lens. If you are photographed a lot, or there is a specific date on the calendar, this is the set that holds up under flash.
Also best for You have had volume and wanted more The honest route into mega volume is through a 4D–5D set first. If you left that appointment wanting denser, this is the step. If you left it happy, stay at volume and save $10 a visit.
What it needs A healthy natural lash underneath Mega volume asks for a lash line that is not actively recovering. If yours is fine, stressed, or regrowing from previous damage, we will say so and build volume or a 2D–3D mix instead.
Upkeep It is the least forgiving tier At this density, a few lost fans show more than they would on classic. Expect to want the refill at two weeks rather than three, and expect aftercare to matter more, not less.

When we turn it down. If the natural lash cannot carry a mega fan, applying one anyway produces exactly the damage people blame extensions for in general — stressed lashes, premature shedding, a line that looks thinner than when you started. We would rather lose the $10 difference and build you a volume set that still looks right in week three.

Mapping

At this density, the shape is the whole result.

Density that dark makes the shape unmissable. A cat eye at mega volume is dramatic; the same map at classic is a suggestion. That is why mapping takes longer on this tier, and it is still free with every set.

  1. We assess the natural lash first — diameter, health and density decide whether 6D is on the table at all.
  2. Eye shape and lid position set the curl. Hooded eyes need a flatter curl here or the fans brush the lid.
  3. Length zones are drawn on the patch. At this density, two millimetres changes the whole look.
  4. You approve it before we start. Mega volume is an hour and a half to apply and twenty minutes to remove.

Mega volume against the others

Where 6D+ sits.

Ten dollars separates volume from mega volume. The difference in the result is density at the lash line; the difference in the requirement is the health of the lash underneath.

SetFull setRefillWho it suits
Classic 1D$120$100Length and definition on existing density. The safest first set.
Mix 2D–3D$150$130Sparse patches and uneven lines. Most-booked set here.
Volume 4D–5D$170$140Full and dark, still soft on camera. Works on fine lashes.
Mega volume 6D+$180$150Events, camera, anyone who has had volume and wants more. Needs healthy lashes.

Getting married? Bridal timing is its own problem — when to book the trial, when to book the set, and which density survives a twelve-hour day.

Questions

What people ask about mega volume.

How much is a mega volume lash set in Brooklyn?

A mega volume 6D+ full set is $180 at DEEPINLASH, and the refill is $150. First-time clients get $20 off, so a first mega volume set is $160. The LED-cured bond is an optional $20, and safe removal is $25 or free when you book a new set the same visit.

Is mega volume bad for your natural lashes?

Not by itself. Mega volume fans are built at 0.03mm to 0.05mm, so six or eight of them together weigh less than one classic lash at 0.15mm. What damages lashes is a fan heavier than the natural lash can carry, fans that closed into clumps during application, and two natural lashes bonded together. On a healthy lash line, properly made mega volume is no harder on your lashes than classic. On a stressed one, it is a bad idea, and we will say so.

What is the difference between volume and mega volume lashes?

Volume is four to five extensions per fan at around 0.05mm to 0.07mm. Mega volume is six or more at 0.03mm to 0.05mm. Mega reads darker and denser at the lash line, costs $180 against $170, and needs a healthy natural lash underneath. Volume is where most clients land and stay.

How long does a mega volume lash set last?

Like every set, it sheds with your natural lashes. Most clients want the refill at two weeks rather than three, because at this density a few missing fans show more than they would on a classic set. Past three weeks the appointment is priced as a new full set at $180.

Should I get mega volume lashes for my wedding?

Often yes, because it photographs strongest, but the timing matters more than the tier. Book a trial set three to four weeks before, then the real set three to five days before the wedding — not the day before, so there is room to adjust, and not two weeks before, so it is still at full density on the day.

Can mega volume be my first set of lash extensions?

You can, but it is rarely the best first decision. Mega volume is the least forgiving tier to live with and the hardest to judge from a photograph. If you have never had extensions, book the 2D–3D mix or volume, see how you feel about the weight and the upkeep, and move up at the next visit.

Can I shower the same day as a mega volume appointment?

With the LED-cured bond, yes — it sets in seconds under the lamp, so the cure is finished before you leave. With standard adhesive, keep them dry for 24 hours. The LED option is $20 on any tier and it is not hypoallergenic; no lash adhesive is.
