LED-cured lash extensions in Brooklyn
Any tier · Cures at 20–80% humidity · Russian & English
Add-on · +$20
Can you shower after lash extensions? With this bond, yes — the same day.
Standard lash adhesive keeps curing for 24 to 48 hours after your appointment, which is where the no water, no steam, no gym rule comes from. An LED-cured bond sets in seconds under the lamp, so the cure is finished before you leave the studio. At DEEPINLASH it is a $20 add-on available on any tier, at 1019 Avenue P, Suite 703 in Brooklyn 11223 — and it is the only thing it changes. Retention still follows your natural shed cycle, and refills are still every two to three weeks.
How it works
A different way of curing, not a different glue story.
A standard cyanoacrylate adhesive cures by pulling moisture out of the air. That is slow, it is why humidity matters so much in a lash room, and it is why the bond is still hardening while you are on the subway home. A light-cured adhesive contains a photoinitiator: put it under the lamp and the polymer cross-links on the spot.
In practice that means two things. The bond is finished when the appointment is — so there is no window in which steam or water can weaken it. And curing does not depend on the weather, which in a Brooklyn August is not a small detail.
Honestly
What it does not do.
This part matters more than the sales pitch, because every one of these claims gets made about LED bonds somewhere and none of them is true.
- It is not hypoallergenic and not allergy-free. No lash adhesive is — they all contain acrylates. If you have reacted to lash adhesive before, tell us and we patch test before any set, LED or not.
- It does not extend retention. Your set lasts as long as your natural lashes hold their extensions, and that is governed by your shed cycle, not by the adhesive. Refills are still every two to three weeks.
- It is not medically approved for anything. It is an adhesive curing method, not a treatment.
- It does not make a heavy set safe. Weight is weight. A fan heavier than your lash can carry damages the lash regardless of how the bond was cured — which is why mapping comes first.
- It is not a reason to skip aftercare. Daily cleaning, no oil at the lash line and not sleeping face-down still decide how your set looks in week three.
If a studio tells you their UV or LED bond is hypoallergenic or lasts six to eight weeks, they are describing something that does not exist. We would rather lose the booking than make the claim.
Aftercare, with and without
The only rule that changes is the first 24 hours.
Everything else on the aftercare list is identical. The LED bond buys you day one, not a free pass.

Questions
What people ask about the LED bond.
Can you shower after lash extensions?
With a standard adhesive, not for 24 hours — the bond is still curing and steam or water weakens it. With the LED-cured bond the cure finishes under the lamp during your appointment, so you can shower, sweat or swim the same day. That is the entire difference the $20 buys.
How much is the LED-cured lash bond?
$20 on top of any set or refill, at any density tier. Since first visits are $20 off, adding LED to a first appointment effectively costs nothing — a first classic set with LED is $120 rather than $140.
Is an LED lash bond hypoallergenic?
No, and no lash adhesive is. All lash adhesives contain acrylates. The LED bond does release fewer fumes during and after application, which some clients find easier on sensitive eyes, but that is not the same as hypoallergenic. If you have reacted to lash adhesive before, we patch test first.
Does an LED-cured bond make lash extensions last longer?
No. Retention is governed by your natural shed cycle — each natural lash takes its extension with it when it goes, every six to eight weeks individually. Refills are still every two to three weeks. Anyone promising six to eight weeks of wear from an adhesive is describing something that does not happen.
Is UV the same as LED for lash extensions?
They describe the same approach — a light-cured adhesive — and in lash work the lamp is usually LED rather than true UV. Russian-speaking clients normally call it LED. Whatever it is called, the mechanism is a photoinitiator in the adhesive rather than moisture from the air.
Can the LED bond be added to a refill?
Either. It is $20 on a refill the same as on a full set. Mention it when you book so the time is allowed for.
Is the LED lamp safe to use near the eyes?
Your eyes are closed throughout the appointment and covered with eye patches, and the lamp is directed at the lash line for a few seconds at a time. It is not a tanning lamp and it is not a nail lamp held against skin.
