This is a driving neighbourhood, so let's start there.

Marine Park and Gerritsen Beach are the only places on our list with no subway station inside them — the nearest options are Kings Highway or Avenue U on the Brighton line, or Brooklyn College at the far end of Flatbush Avenue. In practice almost nobody takes the train from here, and we are not going to pad this page pretending otherwise.

By car · 7–9 min West on Avenue U or Kings Highway Either road runs straight across from Marine Park. Turn north off Kings Highway at East 11th Street, or north from Avenue U and across. From Gerritsen Beach, up Gerritsen Avenue first, then west.
By bus · one ride B3 along Avenue U The B3 runs the whole length of Avenue U between Bergen Beach and Gravesend, so it is a one-bus trip from the Marine Park end. Avenue U is about a ten-minute walk south of the studio, which is the trade-off.
By bus · alternative B82 via Flatlands Avenue The B82 runs from Starrett City through Flatlands Avenue into Kings Highway and on toward Coney Island. Kings Highway passes two blocks from us, so get off between East 11th and East 16th and walk north — the shorter walk of the two buses.

If you do take the train. Kings Highway on the B or Q is the station to use — about 0.32 miles from the studio, roughly seven minutes on foot. Ignore the F's Avenue P station despite the name: it sits at McDonald Avenue, about 0.55 miles away, which is a twelve-minute walk. Most map apps send people there for this address, and it is the long way round.

If you are used to parking at Marine Park or on Gerritsen Avenue, this will feel familiar — it is residential street parking rather than a commercial strip.

  • Free street parking on Avenue P and on East 11th Street. No meters and no garage needed.
  • Read the posted signs for street-cleaning hours before you leave the car — it is a residential block and the rules are the usual ones.
  • A full set is about 90 minutes and a refill about 60, so plan the parking for that rather than for a quick stop.
  • The building entrance is toward the middle of the Avenue P frontage, not the corner door. That one catches almost every first-time client.
  • Elevator to the seventh floor, Suite 703. No front desk and no waiting area, so come at your appointment time rather than early.
